Flying with IVORI One? Three checks before you pack

Planning a flight with IVORI One? Start with three checks: your airline's battery rules, each airport's liquid rules and suitable charging equipment for your destination. Apply these checks to every flight and airport on your route, including connections and the return trip.

1. Match your IVORI One to the airline's battery rules

Read the instructions and accessible labels for your exact model. Find the battery type, its stated rating and whether it is user-removable. The charger's mains-input rating is not the battery rating. Do not open the handle to look inside.

If those details are missing, ask IVORI: “For this exact IVORI One model, what battery type and rating apply, is the battery user-removable, and where are the transport and charging instructions?”

Use that information to check the rules of the airline operating each flight. Resolve the battery category, packing conditions and any approval requirement before choosing a bag.

The Civil Aviation Authority's battery guidance distinguishes equipment with a battery installed from spare lithium batteries and power banks. Spare lithium batteries and power banks must travel in cabin baggage, subject to their own limits and protection requirements. If you are bringing a power bank, check its rating and the airline's conditions separately.

The CAA's Pack Right advice also matters if hand luggage is taken for the hold at the gate: tell staff about battery items and remove batteries and lithium-powered devices from the bag as directed. Keep any built-in battery inside its device. Never take a battery showing damage, overheating or swelling on an aircraft.

2. Check toothpaste at every airport on your route

Airports may limit the container sizes allowed for liquids, gels and pastes, including toothpaste. The published hand-luggage liquid guidance illustrates why you need to check each airport's own current rules. Confirm the container limits for every airport on your route, including connections and the return trip.

Check the departure, transfer and return airports, including whether liquids need a separate transparent bag. A larger allowance on the outbound journey does not settle what you can bring home.

Choose a clearly marked toothpaste container that meets the rules throughout your route. Check its capacity, not just how much toothpaste remains. If the pack only gives a weight in grams, do not assume the same number of millilitres; use the manufacturer's container information or a suitable, clearly labelled alternative.

3. Check the charger against the destination's electricity supply

Identify the charger and cable specified for your IVORI One model. Read their instructions and check the charging equipment's input rating against the destination's voltage and frequency before plugging it in.

As Electrical Safety First explains, a travel adaptor changes the plug connection; it does not convert voltage or frequency. If an adaptor is needed, check the socket type and its suitability for the equipment, including its power rating and any earthing requirements. A matching connector alone does not establish compatibility.

Before packing, keep the model information, operating airlines' battery pages, relevant airport liquid rules and charger instructions together. You should then know where each item belongs, which toothpaste container meets your route's rules and which charging equipment to bring.
